Rage 2 Game Playthrough. Celebrity Wasteland Mission #001
This page of our Rage 2 guide contains a detailed step-by-step guide for the Wasteland Celebrity mission. This is one of the main missions revealed during the prologue. Your goal is to visit Loosum Hagar in Wellspring City. It's a long mission. During this, you will have to, for example, participate in arena battles, win a car race and defeat Jumbo, one of the bosses.
Unlock the mission
This is one of the four quests in the prologue called "Ranger" that start automatically. You will receive this mission shortly after visiting the first Ark in Vineland. After completing the Ark and unlocking the Dash, return to the first room with the holographic recording and listen to the briefing by Erwina Provly.
Find Loosum Hagar at Wellspring
Go to the town of Wellspring, located in the northwestern part of the Torn Plains region. Choose any road leading to this place. As soon as you get there, enter the city. Your character has complete freedom of action.
Wellspring is the largest city in the game. However, you don't need to research it thoroughly for this particular mission. After you enter the city, choose one of the paths leading to the left. You need to get to the city hall shown in the picture above - this building is located next to the square with the statue and shops.
Talk to the security guard at the city hall. You won't be able to move forward. Soon everything will become more complicated - the mayor's office will be attacked by intruders. Defeat them. These enemies won't be a problem. If you have a Combat shotgun or skills like Shatter, run towards the stairs to face the enemies at close range. Otherwise, stay on the lower floor and attack the enemies from a greater distance.
You can finally meet Loosum Hagar. Use the elevator to reach the upper floors of the City Hall. After a short greeting, you must eliminate more enemies - the first group stands on the outer balconies. The second group will use the elevator - it's worth throwing a grenade or using a Shatter/Combat Shotgun when the enemies start exiting the elevator.
Explore the Winner's Hall
The mayor gives you a contraption. Exit the city hall, move forward and turn left into the first wide alley. You enter the Winner's Hall. Talk to the bouncer. You will find out that only celebrities can enter.
You will learn that you need to survive the arena battle and race cars. Both goals are described below. You can run them in any order.
Survive in the arena
To achieve this goal, you need to visit one of the Mutant Bash TV arenas, the Killbox meat grinder in the Broken Tract region.
Once there, enter the large building and watch the scene in which you will meet Desdemona. Go to the elevator - it will take you to the arena. Go to the board to register. We recommend choosing the usual rules.
You need to win fights in four arenas. They have been completed in due course. Look for supplies in the corridors connecting the arenas - you can find, for example, cartridges or first-aid kits.
Red Carpet Carnage is the easiest round. Just focus on eliminating the incoming mutants. Pay attention to the enemies that may appear above you after the columns disperse. The game encourages you to play effectively and increase the score multiplier. This is not necessary to complete the mission. However, if you get a higher score, you will receive more tokens.
