Receiving God’s Gifts

Faithful discipleship and good stewardship begin by first receiving our Lord's gifts through Word and Sacrament. You simply cannot give until you have first been given to.

Here are some of the many opportunities available at Christ Lutheran Church to receive our Lord's blessings:

Worship

In worship, God serves us with His gifts of Word and Sacrament to forgive our sins, strengthen our faith, and restore us to the ongoing, everlasting relationship with Him for which we were created. At Christ Lutheran Church, we receive the blessings of Holy Communion weekly in a service of music, liturgy and prayer that anchors our lives in Christ and orders our lives through His Word according to the Church Year. While this may seem unfamiliar at first, you will soon rejoice in the richness of the historic liturgy as you learn more about how God meets you with His gifts in Worship.

Sunday School

Preschool - 6th Grade

Classes are offered on Sunday mornings for two-year-olds through sixth grade.  The goal of our Sunday School is to teach God’s Word and assist families in the spiritual education of their children. We are currently using the "Growing in Christ" curriculum published by Concordia Publishing House.

Jr. & Sr. High Youth

Youth grades 7-12 meet during the Sunday School hour to continue their progress through the "Growing in Christ Curriculum," as well as to review Luther's Small Catechism and address other Biblical-based topics such as "Creation vs. Evolution", the sacramental significance of "Water" in the Scriptures, and other topics.   Through these studies, the youth are strengthened in their faith and knowledge of the Scriptures so that the Lord can have good use of them as His witnesses throughout their adult lives.

Adult Sunday School

There are three different classes currently offered for college age students and adults, including one class interpreted for the deaf.
